Fees & Payments
Payment policies:
Payment for insurance co-pays or fees are the patient’s responsibility and are due at the end of each session. We accept cash, check or credit card. We ask that each patient have a credit card number on file to cover any fees that are denied or not paid by insurance.
Paying with Health Insurance:
Insurance plans can vary greatly when it comes to paying for therapy. Most insurances offer a limited number of mental health benefits. Annual deductibles and co-insurance fees normally apply. Those fees are the responsibility of the patient.
At Isenberg & Associates and Dunham Counseling Center we accept a wide variety of insurance plans. All our counselors have personally chosen the insurance company panels to which they wish to belong. Not all of our Associates are on all plans, but together we are on many plans. We can work with your insurance as either an in-network or out-of-network provider.
Check our general list to see if your insurance company is included. You may call our office to see if the therapist is on your insurance company’s panel. Insurance plan often merge and affiliations can change. If your plan is not listed here, please feel free to ask us. At times we do join specific insurance panels to meet our patients' needs.
Paying Yourself:
Due to privacy concerns or lack of insurance coverage for mental health, some of our clients make the choice to pay for therapy themselves.
When insurance is used, information can be accessed by other insurance companies, through a clearinghouse arrangement, in making decisions regarding future applications for medical, life, disability or long-term care insurance. This also applies to marital counseling, when a spouse is diagnosed with a psychiatric condition in order to utilize existing medical insurance.
You may consider paying for therapy out of pocket as you do for other personal and business services you value. When you pay for counseling yourself, your complete privacy is assured within the limits of state and federal laws.
Family business issues, executive or professional practice consultation and coaching and career development, conflict management, communications skill building and money issue consultation are legitimate business expenses.
Clients who self pay do so in many ways:
- Check or Cash
- Monthly Payment Plan
- Major Credit Cards for Self-Pay or Deductible
- Tax Deductible Medical Expense
- Flexible Spending Options at Work
- Pay Through Business as Business Expense
- Employer Payment for Executive Coaching
We Accept:
